Eventually I will have to learn CSS properly and maybe PHP if I want to be a web designer\/developer but in the meantime I need design software.<\/p>\n<p>I currently use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artisteer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Artisteer<\/a> to design themes. This is adequate for simple sites but it has limited flexibility. I&#8217;m looking at <a href=\"http:\/\/headwaythemes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Headway Themes<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elegantthemes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elegant Themes<\/a> as &#8216;theme builders&#8217;. Elegant Themes costs $89 while Headway costs $174. Other options are highlighted at the <a href=\"http:\/\/vandelaydesign.com\/blog\/wordpress\/theme-builders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vandelay Design<\/a> site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thinking about WordPress theme design.
